Lake Mburo National Park “Whispers Of The Wild”
Lake Mburo lies along Mbarara Road with easy access of Kampala. It’s an attractive park of rolling hills and open grass valleys covered in extensive acacia woodland; Mburo has markedly different fauna to other reserves as it is the only park in Uganda where one can view the Impala antelope. Find herds of Zebras, Cape buffalos and Eland Antelopes, Oribi and Topi. Along with the game drive, many visitors enjoy the Boat tripe on Lake Mburo that provides amazing bird views plus Hippos on Lake Mburo. Self –guided nature walks are also available and the only park in Uganda where game can be viewed on by horse riding!!
DAY 1: ARRIVAL AND TRANSFER TO YOUR HOTEL
On your arrival at Entebbe international airport, you will be welcomed by our company representative and be transferred to your hotel for relaxation, dinner and an overnight at either Golf course hotel Kampala or Hotel Le Bougainville Kampala.
DAY 2: KAMPALA – LAKE MBURO NATIONAL PARK
After having your breakfast, embark on an exciting road journey to Lake Mburo. Check in at your lodge for lunch and relaxation after the journey. Have a guided nature walk and search for birds, several antelopes most especially Impalas plus Zebras. Return to the lodge for dinner and overnight at either Mihingo lodge or Lake Mburo safari lodge.
DAY 3: LAKE MBURO NATIONAL PARK
Early morning your guides will brief you before you head into the dense forest on your search for Zebras, Cape buffalos, Eland Antelopes, Oribi and Topi, view several bird species as the park has over 250 species of birds including Purple starling, Helmeted Guinea fowl, Brown-faced lapwings, Caruthers, Cisticolas, the extraordinary White winged Warbler and Bare-faced Go-away bird. In the afternoon enjoy a boat trip or horseback riding (you must however confirm which activity you will go for). In the evening relax and have your dinner and overnight at Mihingo Lodge or Lake Mburo safari lodge.
DAY 4: LAKE MBURO NATIONAL PARK KAMPALA
Early morning drive from Lake Mburo to Kampala. Make a stopover at the Equator line and have a feel of being at latitude 00 for belonging to neither Northern nor southern hemisphere. Visit the souvenir and craft shops while taking memorable photographs. Proceed to Kampala and finally to Entebbe international airport for your departure.
END of the Safari:
