Our 4 Days twin gorilla trekking safari in Bwindi national park is a spectacular trip offering you numerous opportunities of experiencing and finding the most yarned for mountain gorillas in two different locations. It is a full package trip that lets you with no regrets but cherishing of Africa’s magnificent, scenic and rich wilderness. This safari package  provides you with 2 distinct  experiences with mountain gorillas in two respective gorilla localities.

Day 1: Transfer Bwindi Impenetrable National Park (Nkuringo Sector)

Be warmly received and greet Python Safaris company staff/ representative on day one of your twin gorilla trekking safari in Bwindi, who will brief you about the itinerary. Get you from the airport or hotel in Kigali to start your journey to Uganda’s Bwindi Impenetrable National Park – Uganda’s magnificent home of mountain gorillas. The journey through the land of a numerous hills, knolls, valleys, etc, is very beautiful, magnificent and scenic, marked by vast plantations, undulating hills, Virunga ranges and jungle-like landscapes as you pave your way into the admirable Pearl of Africa. You join Uganda through Katuna or Cyanika border a 5hr drive and shortly you’ll make a lunch break in the adjacent Kabale town.

Take a tour to the cultural museum of  Kwanza.A Café, Guest House, Greatlakes etc or to the local markets of Kabale Owino market, New Kabale Market Mwajari before continuing to Nkuringo sector in Bwindi Impenetrable National Park to refresh and overnight stay. Nkuringo region is located in the west of Bwindi, about 95 km from Kabale town about 3hrs drive. The region boasts up to 3 gorilla families that are well habituated and ready for trekking all year round i.e  Nkuringo, Bikingi and Bushaho gorilla families.

Day 2: Gorilla Trekking In Nkuringo & Transfer To Rushaga Region Of Bwindi

With a desirous wake of the day, your 4 Days twin gorilla trekking safari in Bwindi, ready to commence the Great – adventure. Head to the ranger station and be briefed and guided on the rules of the game” – what is proper and what’s improper. Be allotted  with a gorilla family to track and out you move  with your ranger guide, trackers and porters. The look out for mountain gorillas begins!!

On the way, passionate with bird watching will  extremely be a pleasure; in addition to the Rwenzori numerous varieties of fauna and flora, more than 300 bird species inhabit the impenetrable forest, over 160 tree species. Other forest high profile mammals, chimpanzees, L’Hoest’s, African  monkey, baboons, amphibians, African elephants and butterflies like; cream-banded swallowtail  who also treasure this place as their homeland. The trek can last as quick as 30 minutes and can also take as long as 7 hours, this largely depends on the movement trends of the family you’re trekking. On meeting with these primates, you have a full hour of snapping, watching and observing these gentle primates of the jungle as they feed, play and their interaction trends with the family individuals.

Get back to the starting point, collect your confirmation certificate marking a gorilla trek completion in Uganda and move straight to your rest room. In the later day, you will be transferred to the southern Region of Bwindi Impenetrable National Park; in Rushaga where you’ll have your second gorilla trek the following day.

Day 3: Gorilla Trekking In Rushaga

From having an early delicious breakfast meal on this third day of your 4 Days twin gorilla trekking safari in Bwindi, arrange for another mega adventure in another gorilla region – Rushaga. Rushaga is home to 8 habituated gorilla families i.e , Bweza, Mishaya, Rwigi, etc, more than the rest  of the regions in Uganda. Move in to the starting point for guidance by the Lead ranger and begin your gorilla tracking journey thereafter. Along the trek, you will penetrate into the “impenetrable” rain forest (gorilla sanctuary) as it offers a luxurious, heavily forested and magnificent landscape marked by a variety  of mammal trails that do provide quick and clear access for tourists during tracking. These resident mammalian creatures, include: water bucks,Buffaloes, elephants, amphibians, leopards and lions(rare), primates, and  so much more.

Within  1-2 hrs, you will be eye to eye with the  lovely and admirable apes. Watching, having a wonderful time with and  taking photographs of these peaceful, gentle and timid primates  is absolutely strange  in every aspect, spectacular, magnificent and a motivational wildlife experience that will remain in your memories not only for a very long time but ever creating the desire to  regularly  frequent the visiting of the place.

  After tracking , late in the day, have a feast on your packed lunch in the jungles and get  transferred to the lodge for a day’s hectic relieve. The evening is assigned to a community encounter on the extreme end of Bwindi forest. Have and share memorable fun and joy by joining the Batwa in their traditional and cultural dance, listening to their inspiring and motivating songs. A wonderful closure of the day!

Day 4: Transfer To Kigali

With an aromatic cup of coffee on this final day of your 4 Days twin gorilla trekking safari in Bwindi, begin the journey back to Kigali, driving for over 4 hrs traversing through  Kisoro / Cyanika border. The drive is quite long and hectic though scenic and beautiful  as you lead into the Rwandan country side marked with rural homesteads, agricultural farms and views of Virunga undulating mountains.

Arrive in Kigali city in the mid day, enjoy a flavourous lunch and spend the rest the day touring the city. Kigali is beautiful, awesome, splendid with overview hills,various museums, towering skyscrapers, monuments and historical spots such as Nyamata  church, Camp Kigali Memorial, Muslim Quarter etc. Have fun of all the attractions in Kigali and within a shortest time sign in at the airport for your departure flight.
